Upgrade System
All Yield Items in Harbor Finance can be upgraded from Level 1 to Level 5, with each level offering enhanced performance and better yield or ROI potential.
The upgrade system introduces a long-term strategy where players decide whether to compound their boats or reinvest their $FISH rewards to accelerate growth.
Key Upgrade Principles:
Fixed upgrade cost: always based on the item's base price.
Yield or ROI scaling:
Fisher: +2% yield per level
Boat: +5.5% yield per level
Platform: +10% ROI per level
No Fuel required for upgrades.
Upgrades affect future yields without resetting the current cycle.
Mechanics:
Max Level: 5
Upgrade Cost: 10% of the item's base price, paid in $FISH
Fuel Cost: None
Progression:
Fisher: +2% yield per level
Boat: +5.5% yield per level
Platform: +10% ROI per level
Upgrade Cost by Item:

Strategy Notes:
Upgrade costs are fixed and based on the initial base price (they do not increase with higher levels).
Upgrading is optional but highly recommended for players who want to maximize long-term compounding.
Yield items can be repaired and then upgraded afterward without resetting deployment timers.
No Fuel is consumed when upgrading.
Upgrading impacts the next deployment or next repair cycle, not the current one.
